Eating out in West CornwallA selection of places to eat out

Morning coffee

Lavenders Delicatessen, Penzance - their tea is particularly good, no tea bags in sight and you can definitely taste the difference; The Alverne Restaurant, 30 Alverton Street, Penzance; Blue Snappa, Penzance; Penlee House Gallery, Morrab Road, Penzance; de Wynns Coffee House, Church Street, Falmouth.

Lunch

Sennen Beach Cafe, Logan Rock Inn, Treen; Turks Head, Chapel Street, Penzance; Mackerel Sky, Penzance; The Cabin, Perranuthnoe; The Ship, Mousehole; Rick Stein's Fish & Chips, Falmouth.

Cornish pasties

We like the ones from WC Rowe in Causewayhead the best - other good ones are sold at Warrens and Lavenders - don't buy before 1030 otherwise they won't be fresh.

Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Watergate Bay, Newquay; Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant, Padstow; Restaurant Nathan Outlaw, St. Enodoc Hotel, Rock.

Take-away

No-one delivers in either the Sennen or Porthcurno areas. You can get fish and chips from Sennen or St. Just but they tend to close by about 8pm in the winter. You can also order Chinese from St. Just or Chinese/Indian from Penzance and collect it. Curry Corner in Penzance will deliver to St. Buryan so that you can collect it from there.
