Treeve Moor Cottage is a 3-bedroomed detached granite cottage situated in a tranquil area just a few minutes walk from Land's End and a short walk from Sennen Cove, an ideal beach for surfing. The cottage is down a lane, well away from the road and boasts an uninterrupted view of the sea and coastline across the fields from the first floor and views of the garden from the ground floor. It is best suited to 2 adults and 2 children rather than 4 adults because the room sizes are what you would expect from a Cornish cottage. There are many sandy beaches in the area, several within walking distance, and a footpath goes direct from the cottage to the beach at Sennen Cove. The Minack Theatre is just 3 miles away.  The Apple Tree Cafe is just up the road - ideal for morning coffee or a snack.

When you reach Penzance stay on the A30 and follow the signs for Sennen and Land's End. When you get to Sennen ignore the turning down to Sennen Cove and keep going past the church and the caravan site. Ignore the first turning signposted to the Minack but when you see a second lefthand turning to Porthcurno our lane is OPPOSITE this on the righthandside. There are two houses at the bottom, Treeve Moor Cottage being the smaller of the two.

Dogs Welcome

I have had quite a few complaints from owners about the way properties have been left when dogs have been there.  So, to try and prevent any owners from changing their minds about accepting dogs, it would be helpful if you could have a look at the following suggestions:

  • Don’t allow your dogs to damage furniture and fittings – bring a throw if you know they will go on furniture or beds
  • Clean up any dog hair
  • Don’t leave dogs in the property alone if you know they are likely to scratch the paintwork or bark incessantly
  • Pick up after your pets in the garden
  • Bring a towel to wipe your pet if they get wet or muddy
  • Ensure that dogs arrive free of fleas and freshly groomed to ensure there are no lingering smells

Treeve Moor CottageTreeve Moor Cottage is detached and set in a large garden approximately 100 yards back from the road.  There is no gate at the entrance so dogs will need to be supervised if they are outside.  A footpath goes past the boundary of the property to Sennen Cove beach.  The property is surrounded by fields, one of which can be accessed to exercise your dog.  The property is suitable for a maximum of two dogs unless they are very small.  There are beaches within walking distance which are not subject to the dog ban.  Tide tables are available.

Dog friendly information for the area

All the properties on this site are situated either adjacent or just minutes away from a network of paths including the main coastal path.

Some beaches ban dogs from Easter to the end of September but allow dogs on the beach in the early morning and evening.  The rules in St. Ives are being changed to ban dogs all year round on most of their beaches.  Beaches nearby which do accept dogs all year round are Nanjizel, Pedn Vounder, Gwenver, Priests Cove, Boat Cove, Portheras Cove, Long Rock, and Porthkidney Sands .  See map for current arrangements.
